About Pajago
Hi Readers,
I have checked out the number of pages views I get to this page via AwStats and it appears that I should write something worthwhile here as I am getting a few views.
Well first, and importantly, welcome to Pajago.com. I started this site back in early 2007 as merely a domain name and a bleak Wordpress template and it has turned into a success. Traffic has increased roughly 100% per month since I launched, which I am very happy and proud about.
Pajago, as dubbed by a review I read about it recently, as an eclectic mix of thoughts and news surrounding business, marketing, Internet and technology topics. Most of my posts tend to be a mix of all four topics as these are things that really fascinate me.
You will see heavy coverage on the likes of Apple, Google, the environment, academia, Web 2.0, et al. on this blog. I know that sounds a bit common but I will ensure I don’t become a sheep and write about what everyone else writes about. It may be obvious, but I don’t write with SEO (or about SEO) in mind. I don’t really give a ___ if my posts are ’search engine optimised’ as that’s not my objective.
My objective is just to pen (or key) my thoughts so others can read them and take them on board and maybe get something out of them. I am not an expert on any matter, so don’t take what I write as ‘from the masters mouth’. I do know a fair bit about the likes of Google, search engines, the environment, telecommunications (it rules my life a bit, argh), marketing, academia (it does to), the Internet (and again…), various technologies, etc. But as they say, take it with the proverbial grain…
As for myself, I live in Australia. I love it here. I like to travel - especially to do non-touristy things. I don’t like to be too mainstream; nor say I don’t and end up as a sheep trying to become ‘independent’. I study business (marketing and information systems) at one of Australia’s top universities but in the process don’t look at other schools with contempt; nor intend to go on and work a desk job at one of Australia’s big corporations.
I have quite solid values which I have formed not by reading a book, being preached to, or by selling-out on others. I like to absorb what ever is going on around me; read lots; surf the Internet a lot (thanks Stumble Upon) and talk to people of all sorts of backgrounds. When I finish my education I’d like to either move out on my own (in an employment sense); make the world a better place (the technology and environmental sectors are looking good) or continue at it, Masters or PhD perhaps?
Well, that’s a bit about me and far more than I intended to write. Please enjoy the site and as I said, take what I say with a pinch of salt. I will try and be as accurate and helpful as possible though.
